Volunteering
Volunteers participate in all our services, and the majority of our work would not be possible without volunteers. Examples are giving welfare benefits advice, befriending, being an advocate for an older person making a decision about their future, serving snacks and lunches, accompanying clients on outings and holidays and reception and administrative work.
Prospective volunteers are interviewed and references are taken up, then receive a half-day general induction before being placed with one of our services. We also offer ongoing supervision and training opportunities.
